Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and [to be published] ("we", "us"), [to be published], for your use of Hamsafar. By signing in you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Who can use Hamsafar

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. One person per account.

2. AI characters

Every Hamsafar character is artificial intelligence, not a real person. Replies, photos and voices are generated automatically, may be inaccurate or unexpected, and are labelled as AI-generated. Hamsafar is for companionship and entertainment; it is not medical, mental-health, legal or financial advice. If you are in crisis, contact local emergency services.

3. Acceptable use

You must not use Hamsafar to:

• create or request content involving anyone under 18, or that sexualises minors in any way;
• create content depicting non-consent, exploitation, or a real, identifiable person without their consent;
• harass, threaten or promote hatred against anyone;
• break the law, infringe others' rights, or try to bypass our safety systems, rate limits or payments.

Automated systems screen messages and every generated photo. We may block content, remove bots and suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

4. Bots you create

Bots you create are published in "All bots", where other users can chat with them. You keep ownership of what you write, and you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, adapt and let other users interact with your bot as part of Hamsafar. Only create original characters you have the right to share. Anyone can report a bot; we may hide or remove it.

5. Credits and payments

Free daily allowances reset at 00:00 UTC. Credits are a prepaid licence to use paid features (messages, voice and photos beyond the free allowance). They have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged, and are not refundable except where the law, Google Play's policies or our payment provider's policies require. Credits are not charged for photos that fail to generate or are blocked by our safety check. Purchases in the Android app go through Google Play; purchases on the website go through Razorpay.

6. Your account

Keep your Google account secure; you are responsible for activity on your Hamsafar account. You can delete your account at any time from the app or at /delete-account.

7. Disclaimers and liability

Hamsafar is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Changes and termination

We may update these terms; for material changes we will ask you to agree again in the app. We may suspend or end the service, or your access, for breaches of these terms or to comply with law.

9. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts with jurisdiction over our registered address have exclusive jurisdiction.
